Fed: Federal, state governments to debate judges' superannuation

CANBERRA, Feb 22 AAP - The federal government will meet with the states and territories
to debate possible changes to superannuation for judges, Attorney-General Philip Ruddock
said today.

Prime Minister John Howard has so far ruled out taking up Labor's call to cut super
schemes for judges, despite adopting Opposition Leader Mark Latham's plan to slash superannuation
schemes for MPs.

However, asked today if judges' superannuation was on the table for debate, Mr Ruddock
said it was.
